David McLeod is a member of the Pine Creek First Nation and has over 25 years of experience working in media. He is the CEO of Native Communications Incorporated (NCI-FM), which owns and operates a Manitoba wide radio network, including the Winnipeg station NOW Country 104.7 FM. He has been recognized for playing an instrumental role in in establishing the multiple-award winning Indigenous Music Countdown (IMC) which is heard on 15 stations across Canada including SiriusXM. David currently sits as a board member with the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN), the Winnipeg International Writers Festival and the Winnipeg Folk Festival. He was formally on the Manitoba Film and Music board for several years. David studied media at SAIT in Calgary and television at Ryerson University in Toronto.
