Ryan R Black
Ryan R. Black has been working in the film, television and theatre industries for 30 years. The arc of his career has taken him from Toronto to Hollywood and back to his hometown of Winnipeg. His production work is varied and there’s a good chance that if you name a position on a film set, he’s done it, either professionally or in his capacity as a supporter of independent films and filmmakers.
A mixed blood (Indigenous / Caribbean) person, he has a particularly unique view on identity and culture as influences in performance and media presentation.
Ryan has dedicated the last half of his career to developing new talent, and his long-term goal as a producer, writer, director is to develop, promote and support excellence in storytelling in all it’s many forms.
