Melanie Hadely

Melanie has been a network executive for 2 national broadcasters; APTN & CBC. Most recently as Executive in Charge of Production for CBC she oversaw the development and production of projects such as Trickster, Heartland, Frankie Drake Mysteries, Utopia Falls, Pure, The Secret Path, and The Great Northern Candy Drop. Outside of her work in broadcasting Melanie contributes to the industry by sitting on the board of directors for imagineNATIVE Film + Media Festival, National Screen Institute, and Cousin Film Collective. In all avenues she is actively connecting talent to opportunity and diversifying the pool of storytellers she works with. In her 15+ years working in the television industry she has taken every opportunity to work creatively with storytellers from her own community, as well as many other diverse voices to bring fresh perspectives to screens across Turtle Island.
